Inputs from the land, not the lab

Better soil.
Better food.
More independence.

Natural Farming Ireland is a growing group of Irish farmers, growers and land stewards that are rebuilding their soil by building fertility on-land, reducing dependence on bought-in inputs, and regenerating the living biology of their land.
Built for working farms

This is for people who want practical methods, stronger soil, and more control over how they run their land.

Learn from people applying these methods in Irish conditions.
Hands-On Courses
See the system in practice and learn how key inputs are made and used.
Lower Input Dependence
Move toward a farm system less exposed to rising fertiliser and chemical costs.
A Network, Not Just a Course
Connect with other farmers across Ireland who are testing, adapting, and using these methods.

The Method

KNF is a practical system for building fertility on the farm.

Living Soil

Work with indigenous microorganisms and soil biology to support the life already present in your land.

Farm-Made Inputs

Make key fertility inputs from local materials instead of depending only on bought-in products.

Seasonal Application

Use different inputs at different stages of plant, animal, and soil development.

Local Adaptation

Apply the principles to your own soil, weather, livestock, and farm system.

KNF is a way of reading your land differently

Most farmers and growers are used to asking, “What product do I need to fix this problem?”

KNF starts with a different question: “What is happening in the soil, the plant, the animal, or the season, and how can I support that process?”

It teaches you how to observe your land more closely, make natural inputs from materials around you, and use them with timing and purpose. For people who care for land, whether that is a farm, garden, smallholding, orchard, or growing space, KNF offers a practical way to become less dependent on outside inputs and more responsive to the living system in front of you.

Observe Before You Apply

Learn to notice what your soil, plants, animals, and crops are showing you before reaching for a product.

Make Inputs With Purpose

Understand why each input is made, what it supports, and when it is worth using.

Work With Your Season

Adapt methods to Irish weather, growth cycles, wet ground, stress periods, and the timing of your own land.

Build Skill, Not Dependency

KNF is not just another set of products. It is a practical skillset you can carry, adapt, and keep improving over time.
